About Me

My name is Jessie, and I am a stay-at-home mom. Though most people wouldn't consider this a "real" job, I have learned that I serve many titles, but one of the titles I've been most known by is "budgeter." A couple years ago my husband and I went through some fairly difficult times financially. Truth is, I am incredibly glad we went through those times because we not only appreciate the blessings we have been given now, but we have learned to be better managers of our finances through people like Dave Ramsey and through a budget software called You Need A Budget (YNAB).

All of this stuff has led me to my future career as a financial planner/advisor. I want to help break the cycle of living paycheck-to-paycheck, having a bunch of debt, and continuously being stressed because either people want to look like they are better off than they are or they just don't know how to manage their money. I

The more I learned, the more I wanted to share, so I started sharing tips on Facebook, and people started to comment and seemed interested in learning more. I decided to take these tips I've learned or have done to help out our family and put them in ONE location, this blog. I hope you can find help, encouragement, hope, and some humor in these posts.
